AFRICAN DEVELOPMENT, THE WAY TO RENEWAL

by Damien A. EKLU-NATEY

    Africa has made the wrong development. She is currently living in a state of hibernation of consciousness cleverly programmed by the Western powers. He was made to swallow, among other things, two huge snakes :

  1. The first is the fundamentally mistaken notion of development. The latter is indeed approached as a succession of sectoral mending, quantitative growth, accumu-lation of aid and the fight against poverty, while it is exclusively an internal structural dynamic of progress.
  2. The second, equally fatal, is to make her believe and accept that she has no money and that it is mainly found in the Bretton Woods institutions, the EU, the United Nations system, investors foreigners, bilateral aid, etc. Result :   Africa presents itself today as a series of beggar states watered by the international community with no prospect of real emergence. Africa must awaken, uninhibit itself and be reborn in its roots as a nation and as a power.

           The purpose of this book is to :

Draw the attention of Africans to the unconscious descent into hell into which the current process leads them inexorably ;

Set the record straight on the internal prerequisites for development and Africa’s invaluable assets in this area ;

Propose concrete ways out towards the rise and renaissance of Africa. All African social strata are affected by this burst of refoundation and renewal: civil society, students, businesses, grassroots communities, the diaspora, rulers.
